Protect Against Depression

Support groups are a great way to connect with other people who are going through similar experiences. There are many different types of support groups available, such as those for people with specific health conditions, those for people dealing with mental health issues, and those for people coping with a particular life event or challenge. It’s also worth noting that you can reach out to your insurance company, they may have a list of support groups covered by your plan. Keep in mind that it’s important to find a support group that feels comfortable and supportive to you, so it might take trying a few different groups before you find the right one.

Catch Some Rays to Clear Your Mind

There are several ways to carve out more private time in your day.  Set boundaries. Communicate your needs and stick to them. Make self-care a priority in your day. Set aside specific blocks of time each day or week for private time. Learn to say no to things that will take away from your private time. Having a dedicated space for your private time. Prioritize your task and eliminate unnecessary activities. Remember, private time is important for your mental and emotional well-being. It’s essential to make it a priority in your day and stick to it.

Socialize to Reduce Loneliness

Caregiving or aging, both quite frankly, can be very isolating if we feel alone and forgotten. There are many online special interest groups to get you started.  You can talk to a trusted friend or family member. Find a person or a service that you feel comfortable talking to, as this will make it easier to open and share your thoughts and feelings

Life Can be Heavy, Good Grief

Do you feel it? Many of us are experiencing loss right now. Grief is overwhelming many aspects of our lives: emotional, physical, financial, social and spiritual. This is the black hole of life right now. The vortex is so strong. You are not alone if you are feeling its gravitational pull. There are no easy answers or quick escapes from this. Please reach out for help. Loneliness is the energy that feeds the intensity this black hole. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
